Spirituality and Mental Health

The definition of ‘mental health’ is how we think, feel and act. The truths we hold within our perception and perspective heavily influence us. When we feel alone and disconnected – our thoughts, feelings and actions reflect that.

In spiritual practices like meditation, we learn how to create space for our thoughts and feelings to arise, without judging ourselves – this is a crucial part of being healthy. It’s normal for us to have a wide range of thoughts and feelings in every moment of every day, but they need to keep moving and flowing.

When we try to ignore or suppress our feelings, they build up within us, and may come out in ways we don’t feel good about. When we’re proactive, allowing our thoughts and feelings to bubble up within the safe space of ourselves through meditation, they no longer have control over us – we learn to master them.

This is even more true for empaths and highly sensitive people, who feel their own emotions along with the emotions of others. When they don’t understand their depth of emotional sensitivity, they can feel extremely sad and overwhelmed – and have no idea why.

The meditations I’ve developed and include in my program are deeply supportive for those seeking emotional relief. I teach you how to protect and clear out your own emotional energy, and how to recognize and release any stuck emotions – which are at the root of most anxiety and depression.

We’re meant to be happy and fulfilled in our lives!
